About George Nichols, MD

Dr. Nichols specializes in total joint replacement of the hip, knee and shoulder. He received his medical degree from the University of Maryland, completed surgery and orthopaedic surgery residencies at Yale-New Haven Hospital and served as Clinical Instructor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Yale University School of Medicine.Dr. Nichols has been a member of the Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital staff for over 30 years and has performed thousands of total hip and total knee replacements. In his free time, Dr. Nichols enjoys tennis, running and the great outdoors. He has completed a marathon in all 50 of the United States and has finished seven Ironman competitions, including one on every continent except Antarctica.
